Happy Birthday Daddy!

Thirty-two years ago, a handsome baby boy, Amado V. Huizar, Jr., was born to Amado and Rebecca Huizar at 11:49am, in Yakima, WA. He weighed 7lbs, 6oz and was 21" long. 

This little boy was the first born in his family and the first grandchild on his Mom's side. To say he was spoiled would be an understatement!

Let's fast forward one year...to Amado's 1st Birthday.

Isn't he a little cutie? I showed this picture to Avery and I asked him, "Avery, who's this?" and without hesitation, he replied, "Me."  HA! Avery does favor his Daddy a lot.

I'm so thankful for all the love that was poured into Amado's life and all of the values and godly principles that were instilled inside of him by his parents, because today, myself and my boys are a recipient of what was put in him.

Now, lets fast forward thirty-two years...

My Birthday plans for Amado were put on hold, due to my two boys being sick with the flu. However, that didn't stop us from celebrating and having a "party" as the boys called it.

 Being Sunday, I missed hearing my favorite preacher preach on his special day, since I stayed home with my boys, but was told by several that he did awesome, and that I should listen to the CD.

Afterwards, Bro. Ulisses surprised us with lunch from one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Rudy's (caldo, enchilada's, rice and beans, homemade salsa and chips). Everything was delicious!

For dinner I ordered takeout from Cheesecake Factory. Spicy Cashew Chicken. Amado's favorite. I won't mention that I got completely lost and it took me 1hr 1/2 to get back home. 

While we were eating, the boys kept asking when is the "party" going to start? Which interpreted means, when are we going to sing "Happy Birthday" and eat cake?

Despite getting lost, and having sick babies, we still managed to have a great time celebrating with our little family, and according to our boys, it was a "party".

Lastly, to my husband Amado...

I love you more than words can express. I'm so blessed to be loved by you and to share everyday life with someone who makes me laugh, smile, who inspires me and encourages me. Thank you for being the best Daddy and role model for our boys and the leader of our home. We love you to the moon!

HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY Babe!

Hello Blogging World!

I'm so happy to finally be joining the "Blogging World". I have been wanting to start a blog for a while now, but just never got around to it. The purpose of this blog is to share my everyday family and life experiences, so that one day, I can turn this blog into a book for my three kiddos, so they can see a glimpse of their childhood.

So without further adieu, let me introduce myself. My name is Amber Huizar. I am thirty-something, full time Mommy, who loves to cook, read, write, travel and of course shop! I am passionate about God, my relationship with Him, and striving to be who He desires me to be. 

Another thing I am passionate about is my family, so let me introduce you to my "A" team: Amado, my handsome, loving husband, who is still my knight in shining armor.

Last but not least, we are expecting Baby #3 in June 2013. We don't know yet what we are having, but the answer is YES, the baby will have an "A" name. We are beyond excited.
